Freeform shaped semi precious white gemstone Howlite designer cabochon 23.5 mm long by 16 to 21 mm wide and 4 mm thick.
Howlite is a white semi precious gemstone material with grayish black veining, that makes for lovely designer cabochons. Our Howlite is from Tick Canyon in Los Angeles County, California.
Howlite is found in massive "cauliflower" shaped nodule and is named for its discoverer Henry How (a Nova Scotia geologist). Howlite cabochons are sometimes sold as White Turquoise or White Buffalo.
Howlite is fairly soft, about a 3.5. These designer cabochons take a great polish and look like porcelain.
Metaphysical Properties: Howlite is said to decrease selfishness, stress, pain, and rudeness. It increases tact. It is also said to help bones, teeth, calcium levels and leg cramps. And it heightens creativity.
