This natural colorful jasper is found in a vein near the Red River in Mainland China.

Most Jaspers get their name from either their location or their appearance. Cherry Creek Jasper (and Red Creek Jasper) are both names used after its location in China. It is found in the Cherry Creek mine and the Red River flows nearby.
