Product Description
An oval shaped semi precious gemstone inky dark blue mostly Azurite designer cabochon 35 mm by 21 mm and 7 mm thick.
It is backed with a thin layer of black agate for stability.
Azurite Malachite is a very popular semi precious gemstone used for designer cabochons because of its unparalleled colors, a deep royal blue called "azure", hence its name Azurite, and a contrasting leafy green Malachite.
The word Azure is derived from the Arabic word for blue. Malachite gets its name from the Greek, malache, "mallow" in reference to its green leaf color.
Azurite and Malachite are copper carbonates and our semi precious gemstone cabochons are from Arizona.
Metaphysical Properties: Azurite is believed to stimulate intellect as well as intuition, and is great for those studying new or challenging subjects. It blends well with Malachite or other copper ores. Malachite is a protective stone, especially during pregnancy and childbirth, and during flying and other travel. Using this stone, one can counteract self-destructive romantic tendencies and help encourage true love.
