43 mm in diameter round shaped semi precious gemstone chatoyant Arizona Pietersite or Arizona Tiger-eye designer cabochon by 7 mm thick.
This stone cabochon is mostly brown with bands of gold flash. It is backed with a thin layer of black agate for stability.
This rare semi precious gemstone material is known as "Arizona Pietersite" because of its superb chatoyant cat's eye effect. It has also been called Arizona Tiger-eye. Cabochons cut from this material seem to glow with their own internal light.
This cabochon material is not the same as the original Pietersite found in Africa, or the different material also known as Pietersite found in China. This gemstone material is actually Serpentine and comes in several varieties-from gold to root beer to silver flash, and from green to brown Serpentine.
