Product Description
This absolutely beautiful triangle shaped mauve pink and cream semiprecious stone Imperial Jasper designer collector cabochon is 66 mm (2.6 inches!) by 34 mm (1.3 inches) and only 3.5 mm thick.
Lovely semi precious gemstone Imperial Jasper from Mexico.
Both Royal Imperial and Imperial Jasper are found on the east side of a steep canyon about 50 miles northwest of Guadalajara, in the state of Zacatecas, Mexico. They are found in a canyon located north of the small town of San Cristobal.
The canyon is steep and covered in thick vegetation. This scattered jasper area covers over 3.5 miles long with several different deposits and types of Jasper.
Imperial Jasper is found to the west of the Royal Imperial Jasper deposits and is found in large veins, not nodules. Pieces over 100 lbs. have been mined, however natural cracking (which is common) makes the cuttable jasper finds much smaller.
Metaphysical Properties: Jasper cabochons are said to have a stabilizing effect, and help one take all one's energy and use it in a balanced manner.
