This lovely focal point bead is 41 mm by 8 to 17 mm and 10 mm thick.
This is actually a psuedomorph-chalcedony gemstone replacing the wood. Therefore Petrified Wood is actually a member of the chalcedony family with a hardness of 6.5 to 7.
