Noreena Jasper Cabochons

Noreena Jasper is a colorful gemstone found in Western Australia.

It is found in the Pilbara region, some 700 miles north of the capital, Perth.

Noreena Jasper is a silicified pelite (mudstone) and is believed to be 2765-2687 million years old. Noreena Jasper tends to break into angular pieces which contain the most wonderful "geometric", abstract designs. Until the rock is cut into a designer cabochon, you do not know what will be revealed.

The miner and sole source of Noreena Jasper is Glenn Archer of Australian Outback Mining.

Jasper is from the chalcedony family. It is a microcrystalline quartz that contains up to 20% foreign material. These materials are what determine the color and appearance of the gemstone.

Metaphysical Properties of Noreena Jasper:

Noreena Jasper is said to have a stabilizing effect, and helps one take all their energy and use it in a balanced manner. Jasper is also said to be a stone that helps in all areas of survival, and is a very protective stone.
