Coyamito Agate Cabochons

Gorgeous semi precious gemstone known as Coyamito Agate from Mexico! Coyamito Agate is mined less than 40 miles from the world famous Laguna Agate, in the state of Chihuahua in Northern Mexico. It is found in multiple deposits on the Rancho Coyamito, hence the name.

Coyamito Agate cabochons are known for their wonderful vibrant colors of reds, oranges, violets, and blues. The Coyamito Agate deposit also produces more pseudomorphs than any other agate location. It comes mostly in small nodules from 1 to 3 inches in size. All of these pretty gemstone cabochons are at least partly translucent!

Agate is a member of the chalcedony family, or a microcrystalline quartz, and it has a hardness of about 7 on the Moh's scale. The name is derived from its occurrence at the Achates River in southwestern Sicily.

Metaphysical Properties: In general Agates are said to be stabilizing and strengthening. They improve memory and increase energy.
